Märklin 6083 k83: Märklin Digital Motorola receiver with four output groups for pulse-operated solenoid accessories.
Operates turnouts, signals and uncouplers. The manual names KEYBOARD, MEMORY and INTERFACE commands; outputs remain active for the duration of the button press or command. Distinct from the k84 for continuous current. No DCC, mfx or F-key functions are attributed to the 6083.
Four groups map to four consecutive button pairs. Factory decoder address 1-1: buttons 1–4 of the first KEYBOARD. Eight internal coding switches; documented 1-4 example for buttons 13–16: ON 2/4/5/7, OFF 1/3/6/8. Use the original table for other addresses. The described overall system provides 256 accessory addresses, not 256 outputs per unit.
Connect red/brown to CONTROL UNIT or BOOSTER. The accessory’s yellow wire must connect to the k83 yellow socket, never a separate transformer. The two blue wires have red/green plugs: red for red signal or curved route, green for green signal or straight route.
A three-way turnout uses two groups. Two uncoupler tracks may share a button pair with their yellow wires joined as shown. Signals 7041/7241 with three blue wires and Hp0/Hp1/Hp2 use two groups; a distant signal can share the main signal group or use a separate one.
For traditional signal stopping sections, the manual specifies 1.5 kΩ / ¼ W between the two red centre-conductor wires to maintain digital data. The original pack contained two resistors according to the manual; inclusion with a used unit is determined by its offer. Direct track/reed-contact switching does not update the KEYBOARD indication.
Scanned German 6021 handbook, sections 6.3–6.4: printed pages 31–35, PDF pages 33–37; system expansion printed 36/PDF 38. It is not a Spanish translation or a dedicated guide to current m83 units. Not suitable for children under three.
