Z scale 1:220 starter set with a BR 89 steam locomotive and two freight wagons.
Train and theme
A steam locomotive and two wagons keep the composition short and visually clear. The tarpaulin-covered low-side wagon and the advertising wagon provide different vehicle styles within one set.
Features and set contents
- Metal locomotive with all driving axles powered.
- DB low-side wagon with tarpaulin and a covered advertising wagon.
- Train length approx. 160 mm. Two 110 mm straight tracks, 4 curves 8520 and 6 curves 8521.
- Includes 230 V/12 VA switching power supply, matching controller, rerailer and track-plan booklet.
Expanding the layout
The supplied track layout can be extended with Märklin sets 8190, 8191, 8192, 8193 and 8194, or with your own design. The included track-plan booklet provides a starting point for planning. Extension sets are sold separately.
Choosing your set
When comparing starter sets, consider the track and power supply as well as the train. The stated train length describes the vehicles, not the space required for the complete layout. Check item references and Z-scale compatibility before adding accessories. For advice, tell us what equipment you already own and what you would like to build.
The manufacturer specifies this model for adults. Follow the locomotive and controller instructions. Power-supply mains input voltage must not be confused with the voltage applied to the track.
