N scale at 1:160 uses 9 mm track. Track, couplers and the control system must suit the chosen model configuration. Dimensions help plan station tracks and train formations.
Separately controlled Telex couplers add practical switching options: uncoupling and running round a train can be operated digitally. A compatible digital controller with access to the relevant functions is required.
