Compatibility and function
- For Märklin and Trix C Track turnouts with an installed turnout mechanism; not for the Märklin three-way turnout.
- For dry indoor use only. Do not operate with analogue track power.
- The decoder controls the turnout mechanism and allows the lantern to be configured. The manual gives no locomotive F-key assignment; the generic decoder pictogram does not mean 32 independent outputs.

mfx / fx / DCC
- mfx operation requires Central Station 2 software 4.0 or later. The manual describes registration with CS2 60213/60214/60215 and CS3 60216/60226.
- mfx registration can take place in MM or DCC mode; DIP switch 10 determines the mode. The CS2 automatic accessory-assignment setting determines whether free or actually programmed addresses are used.
- The most recent address setting takes precedence, whether made with DIP switches or programming.
Power supply and limits
The stated 40 V withstand rating is not a permitted operating voltage. For external power, the manual requires suitable Märklin or Trix switched-mode power supplies. The digital signal is transmitted independently of the power supply.
Installation and programming
- Disconnect power before installation, wiring or changing DIP switches. Switch positions are detected when power is restored.
- Use the correct cable: yellow/red/brown for Märklin C Track; blue/red/white for Trix C Track. Installation diagrams are on PDF pages 28–29.
- The optional lantern connects to solder pads and requires soldering. The manual lists tweezers and soldering equipment; the entire installation is therefore not described as tool-free.
- Program CVs on the programming track. In fx/MM, follow the switching sequence in the manual. The connected lantern flashes to confirm data transmission.
